So let's goand make it a great one. Get a piece of paper and write out exactly how you would like your year to pan out. What would you like to achieve in every area of your life - career, relationships, finances, health, spiritually. Yes, spiritually.

An Everest View

This morning I woke up at 6a.m. and saw the most amazing sunrise. So clear and beautiful with the snowy mountains behind. Although it was a rest day we still had an early breakfast at 7a.m. as today's mission was a walk up the hill (for 1500 feet) for an Everest View.

Blue Sky Himalaya

We are having the most amazing time, the most amazing weather here in the Himalaya and all is well. At the moment the only internet connection we have is a slow satellite connection,so for the time being I am directing you to the women for women international website to get our daily news diary. The Journey Begins

Hello from Kathmandu! It’s really beautiful. The weather is sunny and clear. The monsoon, which happens during the summer time has recently come to an end and the rains have left everything with a sparkling clarity. Our wonderful group of trekkers, from Women for Women Inernational, are now gathered and we’re raring to go! Today everyone is doing a bit of last minute shopping in the many climbing shops here in the area of Thamel.

Namche Bazaar

Here we are in lovely Namche Bazaar. The weather is still wonderfully sunny and clear and today we had our first view of Everest. It looked like a perfect summit day! We are all seeing so many new sights, every step of the way that it is hard to take in. Yesterday morning we stepped off the plane in Lukla at about 07.45a.m. in perfect time for breakfast. And of course the most fitting thing for us to have for breakfast on the menu was breakfast A l'Everest, so some of us had to have that.

The Importance of the Journey

Relationship challenges

We all have them don't we? Someone somewhere in our lives who presses our buttons - the one marked 'irritation' or 'judgment' or 'criticism'. But the most important thing to remember is that we can't change people! There is only person we can change - and that is ourselves. So if we want to change a particular relationship in our lives, we need to look within, not without. It's hard to take, but it's true!

How To Climb Your Own Everest, an evening workshop

On Friday 10th June, 6.30 - 9.30 p.m I am holding a workshop (in conjunction with Yorkshire Centre for Wellbeing) called "How To Climb Your Own Everest - the steps to achieving success and fulfillment in your life".

Using my Everest climb as an example, illustrated with slides and video of my summit climb, combined with my Life Coaching skills, I will be showing how everyone has within them the ability to climb their own Everest, to overcome challenges and to do things in life that they never dreamed possible.
